Chloe’s debut single “Northern Line” is a nostalgic, moody exploration of loss and the memories of past relationships. The synthpop track features 80s-style percussion and recording samples from the tube station during her time in London.
Chloe talks about the inspiration behind her track:
“As soon as I heard this rhythmic sound this escalator was making, I instantly got my phone out and recorded it. It then morphed into this really nostalgic sound with that classic 80s snare and a huge amount of reverb. I wrote it during a time when coming back to London gave me a lot of memories.”
The self-produced Northern Line is Chloe’s introduction to the music scene. This will become part of a four-track debut EP set to release in 2023.

About Chloe
Hailing from beautiful Yuin country on the South Coast of New South Wales, Indie-pop artist Chloe Watts has traded in the beaches for hustle and bustle to pursue music in Sydney. A singer/songwriter and keyboardist, Chloe’s love of music began as soon as she had the capacity to make any kind of noise. Growing up in a sleepy coastal town, Chloe looked for any opportunity to play music for others. After a formative time at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Chloe is now establishing her own sound, blending electric keys and synths with her ‘mesmerising and soulfully beautiful’ vocals (Charlotte Graham, The Music Producer).
